We are one of non-governmental organizations in Myanmar, under federation of chamber of commerce and industry. We have subsidary export and import trading companies under the association. In addition, we also have agricultural development company and this company is now cultivating rice, pulses and beans, onion and chilli the year round. We also conduct the farmer participatory research activities collaboration with int'l rice research institute (irri) for the development of rice production and improve livelihood of farmers. As everybody knows, we are not so familiar with world market, but we try our best for long term business relationship with our future business partners. Our Myanmar agricultural products are more of organic in nature as our farmers do not intend to use various kind of chemical fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides and herbicides. We also need technology in food processing, and facilities for value adding of our products. This is why our products could not get higher price although our products are fairly good.
